upper seletar reservoir

some people confuse the upper seletar reservoir with the upper pierce reservoir. upper seletar reservoir is sometimes referred to as the mandai reservoir because of its location. there is a tower which is lighted at night, up to the early hours of the morning, though not all the time.

the executive golf course is located at the entrance to the reservoir. i have played there once with kok weng and his colleagues. there is also a driving range next to the golf course. i have also been to the range once, i think, also, with kok weng.

in the early hours of the morning, you can hear a number of hokkien speaking elderly men and women strolling/ walking along the embankment. wonder why hokkien seems to be the predominant dialect among those who exercise at dawn.

you also do come across people who fish overnight at the reservoir. there is a stretch where fishing is permitted. but those who fish overnight usually do it unlawfully.
